To coordinate, with senior management guidance, activities aimed at setting up and maintaining the company’s Sustainability Management System on the basis of data collection and processing; system set up and maintenance; cross-functional internal engagement; external engagement with commercial partners; external engagement with regulatory standard advisors and training providers (e.g. British Standard Institute, Chemical Business Association); regular marketplace trends and updates; energy saving and decarbonisation improvement projects and initiatives; performance metric setup and monitoring; regular reports, statements and updates for internal and external circulation.

DUTIES

  • Sustainability Management System coordination - Data collection system setup, processing, and maintenance

  • Cross-functional internal engagement - Embed sustainability culture, jargon and awareness, support system implementation and creation of external visibility.

  • Data Coordination and Reporting - Performance metrics setup, monitoring, and sustainability data analysis. Reporting and communication (internal and external reports, statements, updates).

  • External engagement - Commercial partners, regulatory advisors and training providers (e.g. BSI, CBA).

  • Market trends - Monitoring, updates and realignment.

  • Improvement - Delivery of energy saving / decarbonisation projects and initiatives.

  • Training - Core NIMs training, Other Company Training

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

Education:

  • Required: A-levels, diploma, or equivalent, with an interest in sustainability, environmental topics, or business practices. Numerate and IT literate.

  • Desirable: Degree (or working towards one) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field, or basic training/awareness of ESG or management systems (e.g. ISO principles).

Experience:

  • Required: Some experience (including internships, placements, or academic projects) involving data handling, coordination, or teamwork, with an interest in sustainability or ESG topics.

  • Desirable: Exposure to sustainability initiatives, reporting, or improvement projects, and familiarity with business processes or working with internal/external stakeholders.
