To assist the Finance team in the smooth and efficient financial management of the business through transactional accuracy.

DUTIES

Daily Bank

  • Posting and allocation of daily bank receipts

  • Cash Book update and reconciliation

  • Cash flow forecast update

  • Upload of sales invoices to confidential invoice discounting system

Cash Book & Purchase Ledger

  • Netsuite input of Cash Book Payments

  • Coding of overhead invoices

  • Netsuite upload of overhead invoices

  • Suggested weekly payment of suppliers

  • Supplier statement reconciliations

Employee Expenses

  • Validate and approve employee expense submissions

  • Manage submission and approval of company credit card expenses and business mileage submissions

Other

  • Confidential invoice discounting reconciliation

  • Multi-currency bank and cash reconciliations

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Accounting Technician Qualification (AAT) - minimum level 3

  •  A strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory requirements with recent experience in a similar role.

  •  Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, high levels of accuracy and well organised

  • Able to develop effective relationships with work colleagues

  • Oracle Netsuite or similar experience desirable.

  • Competent IT skills, confident user of Microsoft excel with strong data manipulation skills

  • Candidate must be resilient and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced finance environment. They should also be highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

The remuneration for this role is benchmarked against similar roles in the midland’s region. 

The position holder will work three days from the office and two days from home. The Finance Assistant will also need to be flexible to attend the office when required for meetings, training, delivering month-end and year end etc.
