To contribute to the achievement of the Lake business strategies and the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by:

  • Producing the monthly management accounts for Lake UK and supporting the business on a daily basis through business partnering.

  • Providing effective and efficient management accounts and financial information.

  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and accounting standards.

  • Contribute to business improvement projects and adhoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Duties:

  • Support daily banking reconciliations

  • Euro Cash flow forecasting

  • Monitoring of purchase ledger inboxes

  • Netsuite exchange rate costings update

  • Collaboration with business services team

  • Processing expenses and resolving issues and queries

  • Management Accounts

  • Balance sheet reconciliations

  • Maintain fixed asset register

  • Assist in system development

  • Preparation of quarterly VAT return

  • Assist with annual submission for P11d & PSA

  • Training

Abilities and Skills

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent) or have an appreciation of general accounting and have the growth mindset to want to qualify.

  • Attention to detail and highly organised. The capability to deliver accurate information on a timely basis, with limited supervision.

  • A sound knowledge of Finance with experience in a previous accounting role, ideally with a strong understanding of P&L and the balance sheet.

  • Able to develop effective relationships with work colleagues.

  • The ability to understand, scrutinise and problem solve.

  • Oracle Netsuite experience desirable, but not essential.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and in particular Excel.

The position holder will work three days from the office and two days from home. The Management Accountant will also need to be flexible to attend the office when required for meetings, training, delivering month-end etc.
