The Production and Planning Coordinator plays a key role in managing toll manufacturing, stock purchasing, and production planning for Lake. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient procurement of raw materials, equipment, consumables, packaging components, and toll services, while coordinating production scheduling across all Lake Manufacturing sites.

The coordinator ensures smooth collaboration between sales, customers, suppliers, and toll partners, delivering on time, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes for Lake’s toll manufacturing operations. This position contributes to Lake’s operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall commercial success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the purchasing of raw materials, equipment, consumables, and packaging components required for all LMS production and toll manufacturing.

  • Coordinate and schedule production activities across all LMS sites to ensure efficient use of manpower and timely completion.

  • Issue and maintain accurate work instructions, production orders, and bill of materials.

  • Plan and monitor production capacity across all sites, ensuring resources are aligned to meet customer and operational requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, toll manufacturers, logistics partners, and internal teams.

  • Ensure compliance with Lake’s service and quality standards in all toll related activities.

  • Maintain up to date and accurate data in NetSuite to support production planning and reporting.

  • Provide the LMS Manager with timely updates on production status, potential risks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Support the continuous improvement of production planning and coordination processes within Lake Manufacturing Services.

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrable work experience in purchasing, supply chain or production planning

  • Experience in coordinating manufacturing or toll production preferred

  • Ability to manage oneself and colleagues to work to a consistent high performance

  • Able to communicate with and develop effective relationships with internal and external customers

  • Oracle NetSuite or equivalent ERP experience essential

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software; computer literate

  • Highest standards and levels of accuracy, numeracy and literacy

  • Graduate level with leadership skills or equivalent experience

  • Resilient and robust in managing multiple priorities
