Lake Summer BBQ Brings Colleagues Together for Food, Games and Fun
Lake Summer BBQ Brings Colleagues Together for an Evening of Fun, Food and Friendly Competition
Colleagues from across the business recently came together for our 2026 Summer BBQ, enjoying an evening packed with great food, sunshine, games and plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues from across the business. The event included a BBQ, garden games, musical bingo and a DJ, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone who attended.
With teams spread across multiple divisions, functions and locations, the 2026 Summer BBQ provided a valuable opportunity to step away from day-to-day activities and spend time together outside of work. Whether reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting colleagues for the first time, the event showcased the strong culture and sense of community that exists across Team Lake.
Guests enjoyed a delicious BBQ while making the most of the warm summer weather and outdoor surroundings. Throughout the evening, colleagues took part in a variety of garden games, with plenty of friendly rivalry and laughter.
One of the evening's highlights was the musical bingo competition, which saw colleagues testing their music knowledge across three themed rounds. The first round featured 80s and singalong classics, followed by 90s and 00s party favourites before finishing with a round of modern hits. Each round produced its own winner, with three lucky colleagues taking home a £50 voucher.
As if that wasn't enough excitement, three surprise "lucky chair" prizes were hidden around the room, with three fortunate attendees winning £20 simply for sitting in the right seat.
The combination of sunshine, food, entertainment and great company created a memorable evening for everyone involved. While events like these are designed to be enjoyable, they also play an important role in strengthening relationships across teams, encouraging collaboration and reinforcing the connections that help us work together throughout the year.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the event such a success. From the garden games and musical bingo to the conversations shared over food and drinks, the 2026 Summer BBQ was a fantastic reminder of what makes Team Lake special.
We are already looking forward to the next opportunity to come together and celebrate our successes as one team. ☀️🍔🎵🎉
